Holding space for your healing, One artwork at a time.
While I’m all too familiar with the way healing can feel dark and lonely, especially if you feel like nobody understands you or your pain (which I do), I do believe that it also leaves room for something magical to emerge..
On the other side of healing lives a blank canvas.
A world of your own imagination, where grief and joy can co-exist and the past can prime you for a more joy-filled future.
Through emotional and physical healing, I’ve spent the last decade turning my pain into my purpose and helping others do the same.
Through my artistic pursuits, yoga classes, workshops, photography and courses, I’m here to help you paint a new path towards healing where wellness and creative expression lead, and you can begin to see the light on the other side.
Whether you’re an artist seeking something more, a woman prioritizing her own self discovery or you’re deep in grief, my work aims to bring you closer to that which you love and help you fall back in love with the true nature of you.
Who is Alaysha Mahmutoglu
Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. Growing up in a multicultural household became a polarizing upbringing, that led to many years of attempting to numb the pain I felt, but couldn’t escape. My experience with substance abuse and unhealthy relationships prompted me to begin my healing journey over a decade ago, where I would eventually reconnect with my art and begin following a path lead by yoga, and truly processing my past.
Finding healing through the body, overcoming addictive patterns and learning to love myself have become the core foundations for a life of wellness that I now deeply value. It’s allowed me to further heal through my art, deepen my relationship to my inner child and become the artist I always dreamed of becoming.
As a neurodivergent woman, I also know what it’s like to navigate the debilitating struggle of ADHD and how important accountability and motivation can be for creative expression. While my naturally playful and energetic nature brings me the balance I need to weather the storms, it’s inspired me to create more supportive spaces for artists to prioritize themselves alongside their art. Using therapeutic art practices and nurturing artists through my program ‘Soul Stir’, it’s my mission to be your reminder that hope is never lost.
The Next round of SOUL STIR starts in 2026
